This workshop is designed to educate caregivers, educators, and others on the link between trauma, foster care, and human trafficking. Participants will gain an awareness of how youth are recruited, the connection between ACEs and human trafficking, how to identify signs of human trafficking, and how to address and prevent it from happening in homes and schools. 

Participants in this training will:

  • Receive the strategies and tips on how to identify and address the needs of victims of human trafficking as well as on-campus recruiters. 
  • Gain a greater understanding of the impacts of human trafficking in their community and its impact on student behaviors and learning.
  • Explore ways to assist and inform parents on how to communicate the needs of human trafficking awareness with their children.
