STEAM COPs are open to all staff and organizations wanting to build knowledge, skills, structures and partnerships necessary to be successful in developing high quality STEAM learning environments for youth in Expanded Learning programs. 

Focus #2  Building Observation Skills  Sessions November 3, November 17 and December 1

What is observation?  How do you do it?  How do you teach kids?  Open-ended projects in Art

Using observation to gather data, identify patterns.  Open-ended projects in math

             Solution Fluency Model (one of 6 fluencies youth need for the 21st century), transforming activity into learning opportunity.  Focus on the process  How to utilize in projects of all kinds

*How to create hands-on/minds-on inquiry based learning opportunities

*How to utilize Bloom's Taxonomy

*Learn Lesson Planning tips, Coaching tips

*How to help youth learn observation skills

* Networking opportunities

* How to connect STEAM learning with other curriculum areas

 

Meetings are held via ZOOM.

Materials and ZOOM link for all learning sessions will be sent out via email one business day in advance to allow for review and gathering supplies for the hands-on activities.
