Social and emotional learning has become a common phrase and expectation in education. It has been integrated into education and program quality standards. Yet, how do we teach and foster the competencies with our students? The good news is, as an educator and care-giver, you are probably already doing it. In this session, attendees will review and reinforce their understanding of CASEL’s five social and emotional learning competencies: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision making, relationship skills, and social awareness and explore best and promising practices and routines to integrate into their expanded learning programs.
Elementary-age youth grow and develop so quickly – not just physically but also emotional and socially. This session will address the developmental social and emotional needs of elementary-age students and provide tools and resources that foster emotional growth and self-regulation.
The Zoom meeting link will be sent to registered participants 1 business day prior to the event.
