The TK/K Exploration Sessions offers engaging, hands-on approaches to research-based professional development, designed specifically for Expanded Learning Staff supporting TK/K Students. 

By the end of this Exploration Session, participants will be able to implement developmentally appropriate practices that support TK/K Students through the following:

• Active and Engaged Learning with other participants

• Collegial Conversations centered on promising practices when supporting TK/K students and staff

• Identifying key domains from the California Preschool Learning Foundations when designing TK/K Expanded Learning Spaces

• Designing intentional learning spaces that reflect the development needs of TK-K Students across cognitive, social-emotional and physical domains

• How to use the Expanded Learning TK/K Program Quality Self-Assessment Tool for space design and Continuous Quality Improvement
