TK/K Learning Series Description: 

Join us for a fun and practical 5-part virtual learning series designed for educators and leaders working with TK and Kindergarten students in Expanded Learning settings.

Rooted in research and California’s early learning guidance, this series makes big ideas accessible—offering playful, hands-on strategies to create high-quality, developmentally appropriate environments outside the traditional classroom. Each session unpacks best practices through the lens of equity, engagement, and joyful learning, helping you bring powerful, age-appropriate experiences to life in your program space.

Part 3 - Intentional Program Design: Creating Meaningful TK/K Experiences in Non-Traditional Spaces

Session Description: Learning happens everywhere in Expanded Learning, and this session helps you make the most of it. Explore how thoughtful design and creative planning can turn gyms, cafeterias, and shared spaces into rich, engaging environments for TK/K students. Using ELTAU’s TK/K Program Quality Self-Assessment Tool, you’ll learn how to evaluate and enhance your space to support positive behavior, learning, and joyful exploration.
