Registration Deadline: 11-11-2025

Consider the number of people we interact with every day. Some days it may feel like not very many and on other days possibly too many to count. Understanding how people think, feel, and experience the world helps build empathy, compassion, and meaningful connections.

The SEL competency of social awareness is the ability to recognize the feelings, perspectives, and backgrounds of others. It helps us to widen our perspectives, build trust, work productively, and realize that we are part of and have the capacity to contribute to something bigger.

In this session, we are going to take a closer look at social awareness; how it is the foundation for creating caring, supportive, and safe communities; and explore strategies that help us develop lifelong skills to understanding and appreciating the diverse mosaic we create together.
