Every behavior tells a story. When we better understand how stress, adversity and trauma impact the developing brain, we can respond in ways that build trust, connection and belonging. In this interactive session, participants will explore the relationship between trauma and social-emotional development, including understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), recognizing triggers and trauma responses and identifying how trauma may show up in student behavior, communication and relationships. Through reflection, supportive discussion and practical application, participants will learn trauma-informed strategies that foster emotional safety, co-regulation, predictability and resilience. Participants will leave with actionable practices to create spaces where students and staff can feel safe to learn, grow and thrive.
The Zoom meeting link will be sent to registered participants 1 business day prior to the event.
