This session will feature hands-on activities, subject matter expertise and conversation in the following areas: self-regulation and conflict resolution with TK/K students in Expanded Learning Programs.

The TK/K 4-Part Series is designed to support the building and implementation of high-quality TK/K programming. The Expanded Learning Technical Assistance Unit (ELTAU) will utilize in-house TK/K tools along with pertinent data, research and resources to create a professional development experience for Program Directors, Site Coordinators and Frontline staff.
This session will provide Expanded Learning staff with the opportunity to explore developmentally appropriate and high-quality program practices. Attendees will be introduced to the TK/K Program Quality Self-Assessment Tool that address key programming areas for supporting TK/K students and TK/K leadership staff.

The TK/K Spring Showcase will be held in partnership between LACOE-ELTAU and Lakeshore Learning Center. The TK/K Spring Showcase will focus on Environmental Design ideas (indoors and outdoors) for Expanded Learning staff who support TK/K students. The Professional Development portion of the Showcase will focus on how to design indoor/outdoor learning spaces that are age-appropriate for TK/K students in Expanded Learning spaces and implementing Educational and Enrichment Elements that support TK/K Students in ELO-P, ASES and 21st Century Learning programs. Attendees will be given tools to assess & design TK/K Expanded Learning spaces, and how to implement a CQI process for TK/K Expanded Learning Environments.
The Lakeshore Parking Lot will have Park reserved parking for the TK/K Spring Showcase attendees. Please look for the TK/K Showcase signs when entering the parking lot on Dominguez St.
Note: The PD portion of the event will be held in the Lakeshore Conference Center has stair access only. If this is a concern please reach out to the ELTAU team to discuss.
